Devastatingly soulful vocalist, dynamic harmonica master, and superlative songwriter Chris O'Leary is among the blues and roots world's most talented unsung heroes. The award-winning O'Leary—disciple and friend of both The Band's legendary drummer/vocalist/songwriter Levon Helm and iconic blues harmonica giant James Cotton—has been playing professionally since the 1990s, with five previous solo albums to his credit. The Marine veteran, ex-Federal police officer, former lead singer of The Barn Burners (featuring Levon Helm on drums), and loving father has walked a hard line from his upstate New York home to stages all over the world.

Shakedown Sunday is a monthly series hosted by Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers and members of Dead to the Core, with special guests, that celebrates the Grateful Dead—not just the band's originals but songs from across the roots and rock worlds they made their own.

For the February Shakedown, Maureen Henesey returns as a special guest. One of Central New York's top vocalists, she has performed with the popular party band the Mere Mortals, the Sammy-winning bluegrass/folk band the Easy Ramblers, and CNY Songbirds.

Americana singer-songwriter, Noah Guthrie's sound has been described as possessing Chris Stapleton's country/rock grit with the authenticity of Jason Isbell. The unique soulfulness in his richly textured voice and the unmistakable Southern influence in his music makes him capable of conveying emotion as only a handful of artists can in today's musical landscape. Noah's latest album, BLUE WALL, honors the Blue Ridge Mountains where he grew up and still resides. Noah is passionate about making good, honest music – music that sounds like him – music that relates – music that makes the listener feel something.
